A pool is four bits of gear and the pipe between them.
A pump, a filter, something to sanitise the water, and heating if you want to swim outside of January. Get those right and the pool looks after itself.
We supply and install the lot, and we replace it when it has had enough. Any brand, whether or not it came from us — most of the pools around here were built before we ever saw them.

Recently in
New filter, new pipework, same corner.
A replacement filter does not have to mean re-plumbing the whole plant room, but it usually means re-plumbing the part that matters.
The old galvanised line on the left of this one had been there a long time. The filter, the multiport valve and everything between them are new, sized to the pool, and laid out so the next person to work on it can reach the unions.

01 Filters
Sand, glass media and cartridge. The size is set by the pool and by how long you are willing to run the pump, not by what fits the space — an undersized filter never quite catches up, and you pay for that in chemicals every summer.
02 Pumps
Single-speed and variable-speed pool pumps. A variable-speed pump costs more on the day and less every month after it, because most of the time a pool only needs to be turning over slowly. We will tell you honestly whether it pays back on your pool.
03 Salt chlorinators and sanitising
Chlorinators, cells and controllers, plus the salt and chemicals to run them. A cell that has stopped holding chlorine is sometimes scaled rather than finished — bring a water sample in before you buy a new one.
04 Heating
Heat pumps for pools and spas, and the plumbing and power to suit. Heating is what turns a pool from a January thing into most of the year, and a cover is what stops you paying for it twice.
05 Pipework, valves and fittings
The unglamorous half. Pressure pipe, unions, multiport valves, skimmer and return fittings, and every size in between on the shelf — which is why a filter swap can happen on the day rather than after a parts order.
Reading the signs
What the pool is telling you.
